Please remember to recheck on a regular base to make sure, you do not miss any changes to the sainted Seraphs Codex.
Wings of honour. Wings of trust!
The Sainted Seraphs are a peaceful guild and our main goal is, to bring freedom and peace, light and warmth to those who happen to come across our path.
But the Sainted Seraphs have honour and strength as well and if anyone or anything threatens our guild peace and the way we live, act or come across the Antican lands, the Sainted Seraphs will not hesitate to fight for their beliefs!
How to become a Sainted Seraph
First you need to register on our forums here with your character name and introduce yourself to all us, if you like. It would be nice to let us know more about you in the introduction section.
How to apply
Please read all the information that you can find under the topic “Application”, before you apply. If there is anything further you want to know before doing so, talk to a leader or our recruiter and find out about your problem BEFORE you apply. After you have read all and feel ready to apply, post your application under “Application” and wait patiently until you are invited for an interview or until your application is declined.
The Interview Once your application has been discussed and you are found to be a person that we would like to welcome as a Sainted Seraph, you will be contacted and asked for an interview. One of our leaders will ask you questions, which will be the base we judge on, whether you may join the Sainted Seraphs or better try and find another warm home amongst the Anticans.
Full membership
To become a full member you should be active in the guild for 2 months. Within those 2 months, you will be watched by all the Sainted Seraphs and all that you do must meet the Codex and beliefs of the guild. All your actions will be summoned up after that and the leadership will discuss your promotion to full membership. Second chances may be given in some cases, should a trial member not meet all the above requested. That might lead to extended trial membership with the option of reconsideration after a set amount of time.
Beliefs and Guidelines
All the following guidelines are mandatory rules for every Sainted Seraph. None the less, we do not want immaturity nor do we want people inside the Sainted Seraphs, which cannot handle in game matters themselves if it is needed.
Thus we do trust in our own ability to only let those members become full members, that proofed themselves to be mature and wise enough to judge whatever happens right and from the sight of a real Sainted Seraph.
So please note that there is a difference in between trial and full members when it comes to the following parts of the Codex.
PK-Cases
You get threatened yourself:
A Sainted Seraph below the Rank “Elohim” is not allowed to kill others without permission unless the own life is in danger. Make sure, no matter what your rank is, you always have proof of the case you come across, such as screenshots or logs. Every kill you do needs to be reported and remember that killing is the absolute last option a Sainted Seraph will take. Most problems can be solved with voices and heart, always try to solve problems with words before you attack and kill others.
If you feel like you need help with words or cannot solve the problem alone, ask for help of one of the leaders, a diplomat or another Sainted Seraph.
Kills are only allowed in absolute danger of your life and if there is no way around it at all.
You have been killed or attacked:
Please report all deaths and make sure you provide the necessary proof such as screenshots and logs of the entire happening, so we can handle the case. Do not strike back without permission, always ask for further assistance, unless you have a very good reason, which you must afterwards explain, so the leadership can full understand and judge the happening.
Of course a kill and a death cause a lot of emotions, but make sure you are not misled. Keep a cool head and follow the guidelines, always. Talk to the leadership or the diplomat in case you have trouble coping with the happening.
Be sure, that the kill of one of our members will not be forgotten and it will have consequences for the killer. If the case is investigated enough and decided on, the killer will be in our black book and the fine will be set there.
Therefore, we ask any member to let the leadership deal with the kill and set a fine on the killers head.
If you are an Elohim and above, you are as well allowed to decide to kill the opponent right away, but remember that in most cases it is always helpful to think things through before taking actions. After you have been killed, the only way to gain the experience back or level back up is by doing it anyways.
The items you have lost will most likely be gone and therefore the fines will be set on the killers head.
So there is not really a reason to kill someone right after he killed you but for revenge matters.
Think about these lines and always remember how strong we are in our hearts!
Still, we do consider our Elohim and above members wise and therefore the decision is in his hands. Yet, if the leadership ever feels an Elohim does not handle the situations in game wise enough, that rank can be taken away at any give time. It does not automatically mean, that an Elohim can do whatever he wants, furthermore we ask every Elohim and above to really wisely handle the power he is given!
Minor incidents that you come across in game
Every minor problem in game should be absolutely tried to be solved with words first. Always make sure you do not over react and ask yourself openly before you take any actions against other members.
How a Sainted Seraph appears We are always helpful and friendly against others. Remember the Sainted Seraphs are angels who want to bring light and warmth and we are a downright peaceful guild. Do not insult and always respect others and other Sainted Seraphs as much as you want to be respected yourself.
Never steal or lie, never cause trouble or harm amongst others and amongst the guild.
Thieves will be immediately excluded and not tolerated to wear the name of a Sainted Seraph.
Always treat others the way you want to be treated and make sure you always remember who you are:
A Sainted Seraph.
Activity
Please be active on a reasonable level. You should remember to keep the guild chat open and if you feel like it, participate in the huntings, although that is not a requirement. If you are more comfortable with a nice chat for a while or feel too stressed out to go on a hunt, do not worry. But if you happen to be gone for a longer period of time or feel like you need a Tibia break, it is only fair and respectful to let us all know about it. You will be moved to the “inactive” rank after 1 month of inactivity, unless we know the reason for it. If you are moved to inactivity without letting us know the reason, you will be excluded from the guild after being inactive for three months. We want the guild alive and warm; we do not need dead angels.
HonestyWe do request honesty from all our members. A Sainted Seraph shall not lie nor shall he turn his back on the brothers and sisters in the guild. We stand for honour and trust and that is our greatest value.
A Seraph never talks about guild matters such as guild channel or topics discussed on meetings to anyone outside the Sainted Seraphs. Everything else that concerns the guilds privacy needs to absolutely stay inside as well.
If anyone is found doing otherwise, he will immediately be excluded from the angels.
Meetings
We will have guild meetings whenever they are required. For now there will be no general rule, the guild meetings will always be announced in time, so anyone can make up their mind. Make sure you attend on the meetings on a regular base, so you do not miss the information spread at these days.
Treasure of the Sainted Seraphs
The Treasurer holds the guilds money and is an absolute trustworthy person. The current goal is to find a nice and loving home for the Sainted Seraphs in the oncoming future, where our members can feel home and welcome, meet up with each other and feel the warmth and unity of the angels.
Therefore we have set a guild fee of
1500
Gold pounds per member and month to safe up for the Guildhall which we hope we can gather the money for in time.
Further on, the money will be used to pay the rent and in the long run we can maybe finance guild happenings such as hunts or meetings or guild party’s with the money in the Sainted Seraphs Treasure.
Please make sure you pay without being asked for the money.
Sainted Seraphs,
November 2008
